Healthy Children at Chelsea Nutrition
The right nutrition gives you and your children the energy for fun, and the energy to live your life the way you want to
If your child seems to pick up every bug going and suffers with frequent coughs and colds or tonsillitis, or if he/she has weight, digestive or skin problems or is anxious or doesn’t sleep well, nutritional therapy may well provide the support you are looking for (see Petronella’s story below). Making small changes to your child’s diet and possibly also adding in supplements can make a profound change for the better.
Where necessary we use non-invasive lab analysis to identify potential micronutrient deficiencies and/or allergies, as well as functional analyses, including stool tests. These results and findings, together with symptoms and history, are combined to formulate a unique and personalised nutritional programme to maximise your child’s health and wellbeing.
Petronella’s story: How I discovered the power of nutritional healing: I began my training in nutrition when my son was eleven and I witnessed at first hand the dramatic healing power of food and supplements. Through love for my child and in my quest to rescue him from chronic illness I also discovered my vocation.
When my son was a child he was frequently ill with tonsillitis and respiratory infections. Doctors gave him antibiotics but infection followed infection and he was missing a lot of school. He then developed digestive problems and asthma; I despaired of the antibiotics which only seemed to be making him worse, and I investigated alternative health solutions.

We tried many different therapies and whilst some of these seemed to help for a while the problem remained and my son was still ill too often. One day I picked up a book, The Optimum Health Bible by Patrick Holford, and that book changed my son’s life, and mine too. I made changes to his diet and gave him supplements and his health began to improve. I was so inspired by his recovery and wanted to learn as much as I could about nutritional healing. I began my quest with 3 years of study at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition. But that was several years ago and just the start of what is set to be a life-long pursuit into the knowledge and understanding of nutrition and healing.
My son is now a fit and healthy young man and very knowledgeable on the subject of nutrition!
For children with ADD or ADHD I often recommend a combination of nutritional therapy together with neurofeedback. See: http://www.learningwithneurofeedback.co.uk for more information.

“ The improvement to Clara’s appetite and to her mood and sleep as well is extraordinary, a HUGE ‘thank you’ I am so grateful!” Camilla R
It’s very rewarding to work with children, they respond so quickly to the right therapy. Clara was brought to see Petronella by her mother. Clara was not interested in food and she was not sleeping well
